We support the University's mission by handling all legal matters arising from the activities of different university entities. We proactively initiate legal actions to mitigate potential issues and manage risks. Our team educates clients on the legal implications of policy and operational decisions, resolves legal problems, and facilitates transactions with the highest standards of integrity and ethics. Our attorneys provide legal advice to University Trustees, the President, officers, and administrators, and represent the University in all administrative and judicial proceedings.

Florida has a very broad public records law. As a result, any written communication created or received by Florida Gulf Coast University employees is subject to disclosure to the public and the media, upon request, unless otherwise exempt. Under Florida law, email addresses are considered public records. If you do not want your email address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity.
