There are several ways to earn credit for an internship, including major courses, restricted electives, and free electives. If you are not sure who to contact or what courses to take, you can start with the ICP Office as FGCU’s central hub for internship information and resources!
Major Courses
Some majors have internship course requirements. Refer to the full list of programs provided below for more information.
Restricted Electives
Some academic programs offer internship courses in the major as credit-earning options. To find out if this option is available, please consult your Academic Advisor
Free Electives
Students whose degree requirements do not reach 120 credits may have room for free electives including COE 3948 Professional Internship or COE 4949 Cooperative Internship.
