Master of Health Science

The interdisciplinary Master of Science in Health Science program is designed to provide advanced opportunities for baccalaureate graduates in the health care field.

The Master of Science (M.S.) in Health Science program prepares graduates to serve as health care leaders in a variety of leadership and administrative roles within the diverse and dynamic health delivery system. Graduates acquire skills and expertise in planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating innovative and quality health care services.

Coursework for this degree program is offered by distance learning. Total program length is 45 credit hours. As a distance learning program, out-of-state students (non-Florida residents) will be eligible for a tuition waiver that will bring the tuition to the equivalence of in-state students (Florida residents).

The Master of Science (M.S.) in Health Science Program Offers Unique Opportunities to Learn the Dynamics of the Health Care System and the Evidence-based Best Practices in Health Services Administration.

The curriculum is designed to prepare individuals who seek specialized education in health services administration. The flexibility of the distance-learning program offers baccalaureate degree graduates the opportunity to acquire expertise and specialization in line with their interest, needs and career applications in health services administration.

Students learn practical managerial and organizational knowledge and skills to address financial and economic issues, balance human resources needs, utilize the health information data and technology, and streamline the health care delivery process and system to improve its quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness. The curriculum will prepare students to become health care leaders in a variety of leadership and administrative roles within the diverse and dynamic health delivery system.
