Staff Advisory Council (SAC)’s annual Soar into Spring events took place March 3-7 and offered a series of personal and professional development opportunities for staff and faculty. Here’s a glimpse of what took place.

Wearing a green FGCU polo shirt and black pants, Mike Stavely, fire and life safety inspector with Environmental Health & Safety, demonstrates to an FGCU employee how to put out a fire. The demonstration takes place outdoors on a brick walkway next to the library lawn. It includes a small propane tank that is connected to a portable stove that has active fire burning on top, a silver fire extinguisher, and two orange and white cones closing off the area. The female employee is wearing black shoes, black pants and a white and black blouse. “Put Out That Fire!” session led by Mike Stavely, fire and life safety inspector with Environmental Health & Safety

Ceiling lights, studio lights, green screens, cameras and black and blue curtains are part of the set. WGCU tour led by Anne Stavely, WGCU event coordinator II
