Designed for middle and high school computer science and IT teachers in Southwest Florida Public Schools, The FGCU GenCyber Teachers Camp is a cybersecurity education program that focuses on Network and Internet of Things Security.

Concrete Exposure Day

Each year FGCU, the Florida Department of Transportation, and the Florida Concrete & Products Association join together to showcase the latest concrete industry practices. Professionals may receive up to 4 professional development hours for attending all sessions. Certificates will be provided at the conclusion of the last session. This year's Concrete Expo took place on April 2, 2024.

Collier County School Visits

Each year over 3,200 Collier County 7th graders are brought out by the Collier County School District to FGCU for a campus tour and to engage in various engineering activities. The dates are determined by the Collier County School District in collaboration with the University.
Sunchase Solar Go-Kart Challenge

In 2013 Dr. Joe Simmons, the first Backe Chair for Renewable Energy at FGCU, had a vision to develop area high school student interest in engineering and renewable energy technologies through a solar go-kart competition held on campus. Since that first year the FGCU Faculty, Students, and Staff have worked hard to host and promote this event, and we hope to continue to work with each of you to continue to improve SunChase every year!
