Adjunct Nation is a new podcast from the Lucas Center at FGCU, cohosted by John Roth and Maggie Hohne, a podcast that is by, for and with Adjunct Faculty.
Adjunct Faculty are a growing community in higher education. In many places they are the majority. As adjunct faculty in a regional public university, we want to boost your mood and pedagogy by providing insightful dialogues on current realities and possible ways forward for you and your students you instruct. Some of our dialogue will focus on specifics of our regional institution, Florida Gulf Coast University, but even then we think you'll enjoy the banter and may adapt the ideas for your lived experience.
Your cohosts: John Roth has been an adjunct faculty member at FGCU since 2015 and now the Coordinator of Adjunct Faculty in the Lucas Center for Faculty Development at FGCU (our CTL). Maggie Hohne is a graduate of FGCU and has previously worked in Eagle Athletics at FGCU. Now she is Coordinator II for First Year Experience and Retention at FGCU. Together they will connect with various partners across the university to grow in our three P's as the President of FGCU, calls it: Passion, Partnerships and Performance.
