Pr. Viera Bio: Miami Dade College Math Professor and 21 times Guinness World Record Holder in mental calendar dates. Featured in "Superhuman" TV shows of Discovery Channel, National Geographic,and Fox and "The Ellen DeGeneres show".

Pr. Yusnier Viera 's workshop showcased remarkable talent, with lightning-fast calculations and a sharp mind leaving the audience in awe.

Po-Shen Loh is a social entrepreneur and inventor working across mathematics, education, and healthcare. He is a math professor at Carnegie Mellon University and the national coach of the USA International Mathematical Olympiad team.

Mathletes Day is a free enrichment program for middle school students which takes place on Saturday for a 3-hour period each fall and spring semesters. It is a session demonstrating that math is fun, relevant, and leads to exciting careers.

Join Mathletes Day session to learn a wide variety of interesting topics that vary from semester to semester.

2025 Spring Mathletes-Days

Saturday, March 15th, from 8:30am-12:30pm at FGCU main campus

Two engaging activities are scheduled for students on this day:

Ms. Margaret Hood, a Biology Instructor at FGCU, will guide an interactive session using the cutting-edge Anatomage Table, offering a fun and educational exploration of human anatomy.

$mason1$

FGCU student Mason Huffman will introduce students to the fundamentals of solar car construction.

Working in teams, students will build miniature solar cars and compete in an exciting race against other teams.

Workshop is free and open to students who are currently enrolled in 6th-8th grade.

The registration capacity is 30 students.
