Mathletes Day is a free enrichment program for middle school students which takes place on Saturday for a 3-hour period each fall and spring semesters. It is a session demonstrating that math is fun, relevant, and leads to exciting careers.
2025 Spring REGISTRATION
Want to learn mathematics behind roller coasters, rocketry, circuits, 3D modeling?
Join Mathletes Day session to learn a wide variety of interesting topics that vary from semester to semester.
Saturday, March 15th, from 8:30am-12:30pm at FGCU main campus
Two engaging activities are scheduled for students on this day:
Ms. Margaret Hood, a Biology Instructor at FGCU, will guide an interactive session using the cutting-edge Anatomage Table, offering a fun and educational exploration of human anatomy.
FGCU student Mason Huffman will introduce students to the fundamentals of solar car construction.
Working in teams, students will build miniature solar cars and compete in an exciting race against other teams.
Workshop is free and open to students who are currently enrolled in 6th-8th grade.
The registration capacity is 30 students.
