Rental Vehicles
Florida Gulf Coast University uses the State of Florida contract with Avis and Budget for the rental of vehicles. This contract is only applicable for renting from Avis and Budget in the continental U.S. The University also has access to E&I contract pricing through Enterprise and National for business travel purposes only. Travelers are limited to a compact/economy class size only for university business travel. You may provide a justification form if you need to upgrade the vehicle for business purposes.
If a traveler rents a car from a company other than Avis/Budget or Enterprise/National, the University will only reimburse up to the State of Florida contract rates. To avoid incurring non-allowable expenditures, it is strongly suggested that all travelers arrange to rent cars through the University's contracted vendors.
The University T-Card should be used to pay for rental vehicles whenever possible.
