Study Abroad Mentor Program

Helping Students Explore the World

Mentor page heading with pics

Many students who aspire to study abroad often find themselves without personal connections to others who have already completed such an experience. Choosing the right study abroad program or location can be daunting but having a peer to ask questions and assist you in deciding where to go can be incredibly beneficial. In fact, we want you to hear it from students who have been in your shoes!

Study Abroad Mentors  are volunteers who have themselves studied abroad during their time here at FGCU. Each mentor brings unique skills and experiences that prospective students like you can benefit from. These mentors are at the forefront of our outreach efforts, whether you encounter them tabling around campus, speaking in your classes, or providing one-on-one support at our office. They are here to share their insights and help you navigate the exciting journey of studying abroad.

Feel free to contact them through their preferred communication channels listed below.

Please note that while peer mentors can provide information on their experiences, they may not be able to answer all your questions. You can always reach out to studyabroad@fgcu.edu for additional information.

FGCU Study Abroad Mentors

Our mentors have walked the same path you're on now. They explored their options, chose to study abroad and found programs that aligned with their academic and professional goals.  Now, as study abroad mentors, they are eager to share their insights and experiences with you.
