Eagle Explorer Program

UNIVERSITY OF LIMERICK

The University of Limerick is a wonderful option for Freshman students considering studying abroad in Europe, as the primary language is English, and first-year courses are taught across 70+ areas of study. The University of Limerick is a 340-acre park-like campus within walking distance of Limerick's city core.  Limerick, Ireland, is a youthful city with roughly half of its population aged under 35. The University of Limerick is also fully equipped with a medical center, counseling services, student learning centers, a library, and an active student services office. Freshmen can also expect to work with an on-site freshmen program manager for extra support while attending the University of Limerick.

The application process for this program is three stages. 

1. Students must apply through our Freshman Spring Program Application. 

2. Students will go through an interview stage (this step is not guaranteed to all applicants, each application will be evaluated- by committee- on a first-come-first-serve basis).

3. Approved students will then apply to the University of Limerick's Freshman Spring Program (response times after submission will vary). 

Application Information:

Priority Deadline: September 16, 2024

Final Deadline: October 1, 2024

Interviews will be scheduled within a week of the application deadline. All interviews will be scheduled at the Global Engagement Office's discretion.

FGCU Application Requirements:

All applicants will need to review the University of Limerick Module Booklet and list ten courses that they are interested in taking. Students must select at least one first or second year course that is related to Irish culture, language, and or history.

Eagle Explorer Application

All students attending this program will need to apply for on-campus housing at the University of Limerick.

Housing units comprise single rooms with shared living spaces and kitchens. Students may apply for housing with an ensuite, which includes a private bathroom, or without an ensuite, which includes a shared bathroom.

Housing Options:

On-campus with ensuite (private bathroom): Dromroe Village, Cappavilla Village, Thomond Village, Troy Village

On -campus without ensuite (shared bathroom): Plassey Village, Kilmurry Village

Off-campus Housing Options: Troy Village, Groody Village (only available for the full academic year)

For all housing placements, a €450 deposit is required.

University of Belgrano

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA

The University of Belgrano is a perfect opportunity provided by Arcos Abroad- for students looking to learn Spanish or enhance their Spanish skills. Courses are available in English and Spanish- with areas of study primarily focusing on the Spanish language, Argentine & Latin American culture, and healthcare. Students can also pair an internship and certificate in Latin American Studies with their summer or full semester program.

Kookmin or Yonsei University
