College Advising Transition Criteria 2024-2025
ALL of the criteria listed MUST be met before you are eligible to transition to college advising. Eligibility is assessed at the conclusion of each semester. Transition information is forwarded via Eagle Email when you are eligible. Please note that the failure to meet milestones in a timely manner may render you ineligible to continue in a particular major. In these cases, you will work with Exploratory Advising to identify an alternate major to complete at FGCU.
Every undergraduate program of study at FGCU has specific requirements that students are expected to complete within their first year of enrollment. Note that these are the minimum expectations of what students should complete based on their intended major. Students should declare their major by the end of their first year at FGCU. Students will work with their Exploratory Advisor to ensure they are registered for the courses that are the best fit for their individual academic interests and situation.

Course repeats may cause you to be ineligible for your desired major: BSC 1085C and BSC 1086C have a maximum of two (2) attempts (a course withdrawal – W – counts as an attempt). All other pre-requisite courses have a maximum of three (3) attempts.
