The Florida Teacher Certification Examinations, or FTCE, are a set of tests developed with the purpose of certifying that all teacher candidates demonstrate the necessary content and pedagogical knowledge to effectively educate students in the State of Florida.
The Florida Educational Leadership Examination, or FELE, is a test developed to ensure that all school administrator candidates demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively lead in Florida’s schools.
We recommend arriving at least fifteen minutes before your appointment time.
You must provide an acceptable and not-expired form of government-issued photo identification with signature, webcam photo, and e-signature verification before beginning an assessment. Read our Rules and Procedures.

The Office of Postsecondary Assessment at the Florida Department of Education is responsible for all aspects of the FTCE and FELE, including developing, administering, scoring, and reporting the results.
The Department develops and administers the FTCE and FELE examinations in partnership with its contractor, Pearson. Beginning in October 2007, Pearson assumed responsibility for the FTCE/FELE test administration, scoring, and reporting activities.
