We offer a wide variety of group fitness classes that are free to the FGCU Community, as well as custom personal training to meet your specific goals. We also offer small group training which is a great opportunity to add new dimensions of fitness into your routine by combining personal training and group fitness.
Iron Eagles
Iron Eagles is a friendly test-out competition in which individuals will find their one rep maximum on three primary lifts: deadlift, bench, and squat. As the semester goes on, participants will be placed onto the leadership board for the three lifts depending on percentages increased one test-out session to the next. All sessions are held at the University Recreation & Wellness Center.
Session 1 dates:

- Thursday, January 30: 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Session 2 dates:
- Wednesday, March 19: 5:00pm - 8:00pm
- Thursday, March 20: 2:00pm - 5:00pm

Zumba Certification

Yoga Fundamentals Workshop
February 22 & 23

During this workshop participants will learn:
- History, philosophy, and foundation of yoga
- Yoga poses for all levels
- Yoga applications for structural and functional movement
- Teaching Pranayama and breathing techniques

Body Positivity Week
A week entirely dedicated to your wellbeing! This week is a celebration of wellness and focuses on appreciating our body and how to take care of it.
February 24-28
- February 24: UStretchWell 5-6:30pm in URWC Studio 2 - This class will review types of stretching, myofascial release, etc. and include a stretch & recovery session.
- February 25 & February 27: Mindful Munchies 6-8pm in Sugden Hall - Learn about intuitive eating with CAPS before making a mediterranean inspired meal with a chef!
- February 28: Bloom & Brews 12-2pm on Library Lawn - Learn resources and information about body image from CAPS and Prevention & Wellness, and take home flowers and coffee.
