FGCU’s Community Counseling & Education Center provides counseling and consulting services to southwest Florida residents, filling a community need for greater access to mental and behavioral health services for individuals of all ages, regardless of socioeconomic status.

Our center can help improve lives affected by depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship and family functioning, career and life transitions, school performance, and parenting challenges.

Services can be provided in Spanish based on the availability of bilingual student interns and supervisors.
We do not provide crisis, in-patient or after-hours care.
What it costs
- The fee is $25 an hour or whatever you make an hour - whichever is less.
- This sliding scale is used in order to make counseling affordable to all.
- No insurance is accepted.
- Types of payment: Cash or credit cards are accepted.
- Payment is to be made in advance of each session
Appointments will be required
Individual counseling appointments will typically last 45 to 50 minutes and an appointment will be necessary. Groups and initial assessment meetings may require a longer appointment.
Clients may make appointments on a weekly or biweekly basis for a maximum of three semesters.

Tuesday: 10:00am- 9:30pm
Wednesday: 10:00am -5:00pm
Thursday: 10:00am – 5:00pm
Friday: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am-1:00pm

The Community Counseling Center is a state-of-the-art clinical training facility with six counseling rooms, two group counseling rooms and a play counseling/therapy room. All rooms provide live and recorded observation for training and research purposes. Services are founded on the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
