Homecoming 2025: A celebration of eagle spirit and tradition

The Homecoming Steering Committee is excited to announce the return of Homecoming, scheduled for Jan. 27 through Feb. 2. The festivities will bring together students, alumni, faculty, staff and the Southwest Florida community for a week of celebrations. With a packed lineup of events, FGCU Homecoming promises to be a special opportunity to celebrate our shared history, pride and Eagle spirit.
The FGCU Men's Basketball team is set to face Stetson University at Alico Arena during the Homecoming matchup Feb. 1, 2025.
“Homecoming is a time for our community to come together and celebrate all that makes FGCU so special—our traditions, our values and the strong sense of family that binds us together,” said Kimberly Wallace, senior director of Alumni Relations. “It’s a week to reflect on the incredible achievements of our alumni, celebrate the accomplishments of our current students and look forward to what the future holds for FGCU.”
Featured Homecoming 2025 Events:
The Launch: Jan. 27 | Library Lawn | 11 a.m.
A lively, fun-filled afternoon designed to unite the FGCU community and set the tone for Homecoming week.
Soaring with Service: Jan. 30 | Library Lawn | 10 a.m.
Students will have the opportunity to meet community partners and find service-learning opportunities while collecting shoes for Laces of Love. Faculty, staff, students and alumni are encouraged to bring donated shoes.
Paint and Sip: Jan. 30 | The Boardwalk | 6 p.m.
This fun, low-key evening invites participants to enjoy painting, refreshments and socializing with fellow Eagles with paint instruction led by artists from Vino’s Picasso.
Alumni Awards Celebration: Jan. 31 | Cohen Student Union Ballroom | 5:30 p.m.
This special event will recognize alumni and alumni-owned businesses that have exemplified leadership, service and commitment to their professions and communities. The evening will celebrate the lasting legacy of FGCU alumni and their continued influence in shaping the future.
Homecoming Tailgate Party: Feb. 1 | Recreation Outdoor Complex (Outside Alico Arena) | 11 a.m.
Gather with fellow alumni, faculty, staff and friends to celebrate FGCU pride and school spirit. There will be food, games, music and plenty of excitement as we prepare to support our Eagles on the court.
FGCU Basketball Games: Feb. 1 | Alico Arena | 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Support FGCU men’s basketball as they take on Stetson University (1 p.m.) and FGCU women’s basketball as they take on Austin Peay State University (4 p.m.)
