Discrimination is Prohibited

The University adheres to non-discrimination and anti-harassment federal and state laws including but not limited to Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX), Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

FGCU complies with state and federal civil right laws through Policy 1.006 Non-discrimination, Anti-harassment, and Sexual Misconduct. If the University receives a complaint through an external agency, such as the Office of Civil Rights, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, or Florida Commission on Human Relations, the OIEC writes and submits the University’s response.
