Dr. Yong-Taek Min is an Assistant Professor in Health Services Administration at Florida Gulf Coast University’s Marieb College of Health & Human Services. His research and teaching focus on healthcare quality and efficiency improvement, healthcare operations management, healthcare data analytics, technological advancements, such as artificial intelligence (AI), in healthcare, and biomedical ethics.

With a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Healthcare Operations & Technology Management from Boston University, MBA in AI Strategic Management from aSSIST University, MA in Biomedical Ethics from Case Western Reserve University, MS in Technology Management from Stony Brook University, and BS in Animal Science and Technology from Seoul National University, Dr. Min brings a strong interdisciplinary approach to his work.

He served as program director for the Master of Science in Health Science (Master of Health Services Administration) program at FGCU and contributed to curriculum development, student mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaborations. His research spans performance measurement and improvement in healthcare, Lean Six Sigma, and AI implementation in healthcare.

Dr. Min’s scholarly work includes peer-reviewed journal articles, conference presentations, and collaborative research projects that bridge healthcare management with operations, technology, and data analytics.

Dr. Min is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI), the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS), the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI). Dr. Min is also affiliated with the Center for Supply Chain Excellence and DENDRITIC, a human-centric artificial intelligence (AI) and data science (DS) institute at FGCU. His dedication to advancing healthcare management and fostering innovation in education is central to his role as an educator and researcher.
