Dr. Michelle Angeletti is a Professor of Health Services Administration at Florida Gulf Coast University, renowned for her expertise in lactation management with a particular emphasis on diversity and inclusion.

As a dual citizen, she has lived in Italy, contributing a chapter on the Italian Healthcare System to “The Handbook of International Healthcare Systems.” She actively leads Health Management Study Abroad programs, enriching students’ global perspectives. Dr. Angeletti is an active member of United Faculty of Florida (UFF) and currently serves as a delegate to the Florida Education Association (FEA), as a statewide UFF Senator and as the Diversity Chair at UFF at FGCU.

Dr. Angeletti’s professional contributions are vast and impactful. She is a La Leche League Leader and has held leadership positions, including Area Professional Liaison for La Leche League of Florida and the Caribbean Islands, and Associate Professional Liaison Department Administrator for the Eastern United States Alliance for Breastfeeding Education. Currently, she serves on the Inclusion and Outreach Committee of La Leche League International.

Her leadership extends to her tenure as Past-President of the Southwest Florida Healthcare Executives Group and as a Founding Board Member of the Western Florida Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), where she earned the prestigious ACHE Distinguished Service Award. An accomplished speaker, Dr. Angeletti has presented at numerous state, national, and international conferences, providing Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERP) and Continuing Education Units (CEU) sessions.

Dr. Angeletti’s research has been published in esteemed peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Human Lactation, the Journal of Health and Human Services Administration, Affilia: Feminist Inquiry in Social Work, and the Journal of Nutrition, Education and Behavior.
