Clack, Lesley (ScD, CPH )
Dr. Clack is Professor and Chair of the Department of Health Sciences. Throughout her academic career, Dr. Clack has focused on the development and direction of health administration programs and teaching and mentoring students to obtain management and leadership positions in healthcare systems. Dr. Clack holds a Doctor of Science degree in Health Systems Management from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, LA, a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of West Alabama in Livingston, AL, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Science from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. Dr. Clack is actively involved in professional associations related to the field of health administration. She serves as a Fellow for the Commission on Accreditation of Health Management Education (CAHME). She is Chair of the Board of the Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida and is a member of the Board of the Florida Consortium on International Education (FCIE). Dr. Clack also serves on the leadership team of the Academy of Management (AOM) Health Care Management Division and she is actively involved with the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA). Dr. Clack is Certified in Public Health (CPH) by the National Board of Public Health Examiners. Prior to beginning her career in academia, Dr. Clack worked in community mental health in both clinical and administrative capacities. She holds licenses as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia, as a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC), and is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). |
