Schoenfeld, Gerald (Ph.D.)
Jerry Schoenfeld is a founding faculty member at FGCU and is a Professor of Management in the Lutgert College of Business. He is the past Chair of the Management Department and Director of the M.B.A. program. He is also the founding Director of the Institute for Advances in Human Resources which was part of FGCU's Center of Leadership and Innovation. Jerry earned his doctorate degree in the areas of Human Resource Management and Strategic Management from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to joining FGCU, Jerry was on the faculty at James Madison University in Virginia.
Jerry teaches courses in the MBA and undergraduate levels. He is the lead faculty member for the Principles of Management and Introduction to Human Resource Management courses. His principal research interests are in the areas of teaching pedagogy, leadership, self-efficacy, career development, and performance appraisal. Jerry has authored numerous academic and practitioner articles on business management and human resource management and has presented his work at many professional conferences and meetings.
Jerry is active in a number of professional organizations including the Society of Human Resource Management at the national, local, and student levels, Southern Management Association, Academy of Management, American Psychological Association, and Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
