
Clemons, Andi
Andrea “Andi” Clemons is the Director of Academic Affairs, Administration, and Budget at Florida Gulf Coast University, where she provides operational leadership within the Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs. Since joining FGCU in 2017, Andi has served as a member of the Provost’s Council, contributes to the development and implementation of organizational initiatives, and oversees the division’s financial activities, academic personnel processes, and faculty information systems. Andi is a strategic partner to the Provost and Associate Provost, providing faculty and academic affairs leadership and overseeing faculty appointments and personnel processes, including promotions, sabbaticals, evaluations, and courtesy faculty appointments. As a trusted resource on faculty personnel policy, she collaborates closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders, spearheading innovative improvements and procedural enhancements across campus. Additionally, she develops and delivers training for faculty and administrators on faculty affairs processes and the university’s faculty information system.
Andi brings over seventeen years of experience in higher education, with a background spanning Financial Aid, Administrative Services, and Academic and Student Affairs. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program at FGCU, specializing in higher education leadership. Her research examines academic leadership and faculty resilience, focusing on fostering institutional adaptability and faculty well-being.
