Schulze Future Teacher Scholarships (Post-baccalaureate) – $11,400 scholarship award that covers tuition into the Teacher Immersion Program (TIP), a graduate-level teacher education program in the College of Education. - Requirements: Practical, competent knowledge in a STEM subject.
- Preferred Requirements: STEM baccalaureate or master degree, career in the discipline, now wishing to pursue teaching.

- Recipients will be nontraditional students [defined by THA Foundation as individuals who have graduated from high school; are 24 years old or older; and lack both a college degree and a full-authorized (non- emergency, non-temporary) teaching license (credential, certificate) or who hold a college degree, but lack a fully-authorized (non-emergency, non-temporary) teaching license (credential, certificate).
- Recipients will be seeking accreditation at the EC-6 level (or at the middle school level when the recipients area of concentration is Math, Science or Foreign Language and recipients are seeking teacher certification).
- Recipients will be enrolled as full-time students.
- Recipients must agree to teach at the elementary school grade level, one year for each year of scholarship support.
- Recipients must have a minimum grade point average of 2.75 GPA to be eligible for consideration and must maintain a GPA of 2.75 or higher for renewal of the scholarship.
- Recipients must be U.S. citizens (natural or naturalized) and will be expected to fulfill their teaching obligation within the confines of the United States.
- Financial need is not the primary benchmark in awarding these scholarships, rather, THA Foundation seeks outstanding candidates with a dedication and commitment to lead boys and girls in establishing a strong educational foundation upon which to build.
- The maximum award per year is $7,500 ($3,750 per semester). A summer school session may be given consideration on an individual basis, with the understanding that adjustments would be made so that the total scholarship would not exceed $7,500 per student.
- The University will identify qualified candidates, personally interview the candidates, and forward to THA Foundation by May 15th the names of the nominees with a short resume about each and recommending a financial award to each based on the stated criteria and within the annual fund allocation to the University. Included with the information should be a personal essay submitted by the candidates, sharing their background information, how they came to choose a career in education, their GPA, and any other information that might be significant for the THA Foundation board members. THA Foundation board will consider the recommendations and inform the University of its decisions.
- The University will arrange for the recipients to meet the recipients annually.
- The University and Foundation seek to determine the success of this scholarship program based on the recipients' career choices and life decisions. Periodically, after graduation recipients may be asked about their length of tenure and successes in the teaching field.
