Environmental Awareness and Restoration

This exhibition invites FGCU students to voice their concerns and display their research surrounding environmental issues. Stop and Listen asks students to express their observations, concerns and possible solutions on issues surrounding ongoing changes in the environment.

Parallel Journeys is a psychological exploration of the conscious and unconscious mind, above and below the surface. At the same time, it dives in and out of emotional experience such as joy, sorrow, loss, anger, hope and peace.

Layered in concept, the viewer is pulled under again and again in shifting timelines as memory blends with sensual perceptions. Water, specifically the ocean, is portrayed as a source for all of our struggles and pleasures, reflecting ourselves and our projections back at us in hopes that we might gain new insight and understanding...Read more

Artists Andy Browne and Sherry Rohl take a closer look at the back-story of things we take for granted in "Sugar Coated." Deceptively beautiful, their artworks also function as social and political critiques. Using paintings, drawings and sculptures they depict show horses and birthday cakes providing the opportunity to reflect on humanity's darker traits such as pride and gluttony

20th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition

Students working in sculpture, drawing, digital media, printmaking, painting and ceramics submit their finest works for this annual juried exhibition. Up to 70 works of art demonstrating students' accomplishments and experiments, will be featured. The jurors for the exhibition are local artists, curators and arts professionals.
