Resources for Official University Departments and Recognized Student Organizations
These guidelines cover everything from the proper use of the institutional logo to selecting appropriate photo images from our digital asset library. The Branding Guidelines help you represent FGCU and integrate our branding elements into your material.
The Branding Guidelines should be used by all university employees who are creating
materials to ensure brand complinace. Please note that all material created will need
to be approved by the Design Approval Committee.
Logo Usage
The authority to regulate and control the usage and appearance of FGCU symbols lies solely with the president or their designee. The associate vice president for University Marketing & Communications is authorized by the president to review and approve all printed communication intended for the public.
The FGCU logos, wordmark, seal and athletic logos are registered and protected by law. Departments and outside vendors should contact the assistant director of business services for trademark information and licensing details.
Colleges, divisions and departments do not need approval to use the FGCU logo for official use.
Corporate units, such as direct support organizations and corporate entities affiliated with the university, must obtain approval from the president’s designee, the associate vice president for Marketing & Communications, prior to using the university’s registered marks.
Individuals and organizations outside the university must first obtain written permission
before using any FGCU branding material.
Licensing
FGCU owns all trademarks, designs, logos, seals, symbols, mascots and slogans associated with or referring to Florida Gulf Coast University. FGCU University Marketing & Communications works to protect and control use of these marks as well as the quality and appropriateness of products, promotions and advertising for which the marks are used. Only companies officially licensed by FGCU are permitted to produce items using these trademarks.
Design Approval Process
All material using the FGCU logo or wordmark MUST be submitted for design approval. Design approval will review logo and mark usage as well as adherence to Branding Guidelines and use of the university’s color palette.

Our location
UMC is in Modular 3 on the south end of campus. Visitors can park in the adjacent lot or Garage 2 after receiving a parking pass at the information booth at the main campus entrance.
