FGCU recognizes donors for their leadership gifts and continued support to enable the university to maximize emerging opportunities and respond to changing needs.

McTarnaghan Legacy Society
Recognizes donors who have included FGCU in their estate plans and opted to join the society. Benefits include subscription to the FGCU360 Magazine, bi-annual society newsletter, invitations to periodical society/university events and recognition in the Annual Report. Donors with scholarship provisions also receive an invitation to the annual President’s Scholarship Luncheon.
President’s Circle for Excellence in Student Success
This is an exclusive new group of supporters who believe in President Timur’s vision for the future of FGCU and want to make a tangible difference in helping achieve it. The University’s new Strategic Plan maps an ambitious plan to innovate in academic excellence, enhance student well-being, elevate partnerships for regional impact, and champion sustainable practices and resilience.
Endowed Scholarship Donors
Donors who have created a scholarship endowment for FGCU students. They receive two reports each year: Health of the Fund and a Stewardship report that includes thank you letters and pictures of their students. They also receive an invitation to the annual President’s Scholarship luncheon along with other restricted scholarship donors who have given an annual gift of $2,500 or more for scholarships.
Eagle Society
Donors who have contributed $1 million or more. Donors receive invitations to all of our signature events and recognition in our annual report.
Order of the Majestic Eagle
The highest honor – recognizes Eagle Society donors who have given $2 million or more. Donors receive invitations to our signature events and recognition in our annual report.
Forever an Eagle
Members are part of a distinguished group who are connected to Florida Gulf Coast University. These members are some of FGCU’s most loyal and dedicated supporters and include FGCU alumni and friends of the university. Forever an Eagle member find this is a great way to remain connected to the University, and enjoy exclusive benefits.
Future Eagles Club
This club is designed to start a connection with children and Florida Gulf Coast University. For $20 per child/per year, enrolled children receive a welcome card from Azul, exclusive age-appropriate birthday gifts, invitations to spirited events, and seasonal gifts throughout the year. We also have a partnership with WGCU, where you have the option to be included in the WGCU Birthday Club! Kids will have their name featured on television, WGCU website, and receive additional perks throughout the year.
Loyal Eagles
Donors who make annual gifts of any amount toward any area of the university for two or more consecutive fiscal years (July 1-June 30) are recognized as Loyal Eagles.
Eagles Club
Athletics annual fund. The membership is our “working capital account” and also is the only way for upper level season ticket holders to be eligible to purchase their men’s basketball tickets. Each level has additional benefits associated (i.e. VIP parking, access to the Hillmyer-Tremont Foundation Hospitality Suite, ability to purchase post season tickets, etc.). The Eagles Club annual fund is a General Athletics account and benefits all 15 programs.
Eagles Scholarship Society
FGCU Athletics’ most prestigious level of annual support and the top giving level of the Eagles Club. Members receive all benefits available to Eagles Club members and have a student-athlete scholarship recipient named as well. They are also individually recognized on a Benefactors’ wall at the north end of Alico Arena (below the Hillmyer-Tremont Foundation Hospitality Suite)
WGCU Leadership Circle
WGCU’s Leadership Circle is a donor society, embracing a committed and invested group of annual donors who value public media, like PBS and NPR, in their community, and who wish to engage with like-minded philanthropists to gain exclusive access to behind-the-scenes events, on-air recognition (with donor approval), tours, and the WGCU Passport – a streaming service for PBS programs.

WGCU Sustainers
Donors who give on a recurring basis with automatic withdrawals via EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) or credit card. These gifts help WGCU to plan and budget with confidence, and these members have a special phone number and email access, and are able to select a “thank you” gift in recognition of their on-going demonstration of support.
