BS in Athletic Training


Athletic trainers work with active people to improve performance and prevent injuries.

Athletic Training - academically prepares students to evaluate, advise, and treat athletes of any type and of all ages, to assist them to recover from injury, avoid injury, and/or maintain peak physical fitness. Employment can be found with athletic teams, in gyms and school athletic departments, and in entrepreneurial ventures.

The Athletic Training program is 120 credit hours in length. Upper division requirements can be completed in five semesters. It is a limited accces program.

The Athletic Training Education Program has earned full accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Qualifications necessary for earning NATA-BOC certification can be found at http://NATA.Org/Student/Certificationcourse.htm.
